Moonplate

Made with my signature gradient folding technique, this plate is an ombre of white porcelain with a black stoneware with are then assemble in a moonlike pattern. This assemblage is a new direction with this gradient technique and requires precision and timing. 
The ombre is achieved by repeatedly folding the two overlapping colours, a white porcelain and a black stoneware, so they start to blend into each other, resulting in a beautiful gradient.
 
The plate, initial designed as a decorative wall item, is made functional with a food safe liquid quartz protective layer.
 
Dishwasher safe, but highly recommended to gently wash by hand.
